Hand Wash Immediately

Weekly Ceramic Honing

Quarterly Whetstone Polish

Monthly Board Oiling

Wash knives by hand in warm water with mild soap immediately after use. Never submerge in water or place in a dishwasher, as harsh detergents and high heat degrade maple handles and carbon steel.

Pass the blade edge lightly across a 10-inch ceramic honing rod at a consistent 15-degree angle every few cooking sessions to realign microscopic steel teeth without removing excess metal.

Restore a razor-keen edge every two to three months using dual-grit whetstones. Begin on the 1000-grit side to re-establish the bevel, then polish on the 6000-grit side for a satin mirror finish.

Condition end-grain cutting boards and wooden knife handles monthly using food-safe mineral oil and beeswax blend to seal wood pores, prevent moisture warping, and maintain rich grain.
